1964 - Christian Louboutin is born and brought up in Pari’s 12th arrondissement
1975 - on the wall of the African and Oceanic art Museum,Christian Louboutin is struck by a strange drawing:a women’s shoe with a sharp heel,slashed-out with a red line.
1980-1986 - Louboutin’s first job is at the Folie Bergeres,the famous French Music Hall.He follows this apprenticeship by freelancing for Chanel,Yves Aaint Laurent,Maud Frizon and ther prestigious fashion houses.
1989 - Louboutin’s turn to garden design.
1992 - Creation of the Christian Louboutin brand,and opening of the first boutique in paris.
1994 - Opening of the first New York City houtique.
1995 - For Jean-Paul Gaultier,Chioe.Azzaro,Diane Von Furstenberg,Victor & Rolf,Givenchy and Lanvin,Louboutin starts to contributr for couture and ready-to-wear seasons.
1996 - Louboutin recevies a FFANY Award from the International Fashion Group.
2002 - At Yves Saint Lsurent’s farewell haute-couture show,Louboutin creates a shoe for the finale.Referred to as ,it marks the only time with another designer.
2007 - Louboutin collaborates with director David Lynch on the exhibition ,wwhich shows sexy one-off objects:fetishist red bottom shoes,photographed by Lynch.
2008- New York’s Fashion Institue of Technology pays a tribute to Louboutin,mounting an important retrospective of his work.Later that year,Louboutin is the Star Honoree of the Fashion Group International as well as receiving a secong FFANY Award.
Today,the Christian Louboutin brand can be found in twelbe eponymous department stores like Sak’s,Nieman-Marcus,Barney’s Harvey Nichol’s,Bergdorf-Goodman,Joyce,Jeffrey’s…Louboutin also continues to create shoes for young and talented designers such as Rodarte Mouret
